Delivery
The delivery service you receive depends on your location in the UK, the size of your order, and the accessibility to your property. If you are local to us, we will deliver to you on our own wagon, which has a HIAB, driven by our own drivers. If you live elsewhere in the UK we use a selection of haulage couriers to find the most competitive prices available.
If you have a big order with a large number of pallets for delivery, we will arrange for a special vehicle to suit your needs. We always try to source the best service at the best prices. For our standard delivery we use a range of pallet networks and we send an 18 tonne vehicle with a tail lift and manual pallet trolley. This service is classed as a curbside drop and requires suitable accessibility, and a flat hard-standing area to offload the pallets onto.
Deliveries are not timed, they can arrive at any point in the day arranged and a signature is required.
Delivery is carried out through our external courier wagons and our pallets are taken off using a tail lift and manual pump truck/trolley. Price is for curbside delivery. However, if a level, hard standing area i.e. tarmac / block paving / driveway is accessible then it may be possible that the delivery can be unloaded onto this area. If you have a loose drive such as gravel, the pump truck is unable to move over this surface and the driver would need to leave the delivery at the nearest hard standing area for you – please call if you wish to discuss further.
On the day of delivery please ensure that there is someone at your property all day to accept the delivery as the driver requires a signature to leave the goods, and also to ensure the stone is unloaded in a suitable position for you (according to the capabilities of the driver and pump truck).
At the point of placing your order, please inform us if there are any access restrictions for your property, which may hinder the delivery. This includes any narrow access roads/lanes, low overhead cables or trees and sloped offload areas. The wagons our haulage company use vary in size right up to 28 tonne articulated vehicles, deliveries are normally on an 18 tonne vehicle but this is not guaranteed unless a special request is put in for this sized vehicle so please be sure to make us aware of any restrictions for larger vehicles so we can mark this on the delivery booking. If the driver is unable to deliver because of an access issue, we have not been made aware of or because there is no one at the property to sign for the goods, there will be a redelivery fee for rearranging the delivery for you.
Should you have a change of mind on receipt of your order we are happy to accept return of the goods provided that the condition is as sold and that the material is still in its original packaging.
There will be a 20% restocking charge for this service.
We are unable to credit for the original cost of transport for delivering the material as this is a separate service.
The customer is responsible for arranging for the goods to be returned to our premises at their cost and for ensuring they are suitably packed for transit.
If pallets are returned using our courier, even if they were not unloaded from the wagon, the cost of the transportation back to us is still payable by the customer.
Should the customer wish to return an item to us, we ask that they notify us in writing within 3 days from receipt of the goods prior to arranging the return, to book a date and so that we can supply the full address details for the return as this is not the same address as our invoice address due to the access restrictions. The refund would then be raised on receipt and positive inspection of the material returned. We are unable to accept returns of excess stock/leftovers.
We do not cover for consequential loss as a result of any problems associated with a delay in receipt of the goods.
We must be informed of any breakages or refund requests within three working days of the material being delivered.
When ordering your paving you should always include at least 10% for cuts, wastage and breakages.
We treat each report of damages separately at our discretion. 10% in breakages is acceptable. Anything more than 10% may be credited.
Replacements can be sent at our discretion if the cost of haulage is covered by the customer.
This is a natural product supplied in standard sizes which vary according to the product you order. The layout which will suit your patio/project must be decided by you and each different environment will affect the amount of cuts and therefore the resulting wastage allowance required.
We do not supply laying patterns.
Minimum order going long distance is 5m2 unless the material is being collected or you send in your own courier. Minimum order for local deliveries is done at our discretion.
Please contact the office to discuss our local returns policy, each return is subject to circumstance and made at our own discretion.
